HelloStack.io is an online directory that helps users discover software tools for startups. The website is operated from Poland (EU).

2. What Data We Collect

For visitors who simply browse the website, we do notcollect personal data such as names, email addresses, or account information. We do not offer user registration or login features. From general browsing we collect onlynon-personal, anonymous analytics data throughUmami Analytics, which we self-host on our own infrastructure.

3. Customers and Payments

If you purchase a paid promotional placement (a "Featured Placement"), we process personal data relating to you or your business in order to fulfil the order. This includes your name and business contact details, email address, billing address, country, and transaction details.

Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as our payment processor. Full card details are collected and stored by Stripe under its ownprivacy policy — we do not receive or store your full card number. We do have access, through our Stripe dashboard, to order information such as your name, email, billing address, country, and the last four digits of your card.

Stripe is based in the United States, so completing a purchase may involve an international transfer of your data. Stripe provides appropriate safeguards for such transfers (including Standard Contractual Clauses) under its data processing terms.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Anonymous analytics data is processed under the legal basis of legitimate interest(Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to understand website usage and improve content.

Customer and payment data (Section 3) is processed to perform our contractwith you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to comply with our legal obligations, such as tax, accounting, and invoicing requirements (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Analytics data is retained for as long as necessary to analyze website performance, typically not longer than 12 months.

Customer and payment records, including invoices, are retained for as long as required to fulfil the order and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Under Polish law, invoicing and accounting records must generally be kept for at least 5 years from the end of the relevant tax year.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. Analytics data is collected by our self-hosted Umami instance and is not shared with a third-party analytics provider. Customer and payment data is shared with Stripe as our payment processor, and may be shared with accounting or tax advisers and authorities where required to meet our legal obligations.

HelloStack.io does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
